Things have been so hectic lately! A lot has changed for us, but mostly for the better. I’ll try to start from the beginning:
I have started work – officially! The Boyfriend has opened his business after a lot of sleepless nights and hard work, and I am in charge of reception and social media management. It’s working out really nicely. I had a major panic attack in my first week, due to the change in routine, but I’m feeling much better now. Getting out of the house every day feels wonderful, and having things to work on is very refreshing. Of course, with it being a brand new business we are still feeling the pressure, but it’s enjoyable.
Sprog has had a strange few weeks. Her 6th birthday is fast approaching (early February) but somehow it feels as though we are going backwards. Some strange behaviours have arisen, such as stealing/hiding/hoarding food, and hiding things like her school books, but as there are no real guidelines for children who have been abused I really can’t say where the behaviours are coming from. I have arranged a meeting at school with her dedicated therapist, and am hoping she can reassure me. She also lost another tooth – front and center! – and is now sporting a very gappy grin, which is amusing.
Other than those big current affairs, The Boyfriend has had a Birthday, which we spent together with a lovely home cooked evening meal, one friend has been less supportive than ever while another has come round from their original views, and I have been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. So there really is just a lot going on for us right now.
Overall, though, life seems to be settling down, with things finally falling into place. I feel like I’m reaching a point where I would like to introduce myself to my readers properly, and maybe throw the anonymity aside, since I haven’t received too much backlash for this blog. Do let me know if that’s something you would like to see!
